We encourage people to meet at a car park in order that car-sharing may be arranged thus reducing the number of vehicles driving into the countryside.

Whilst there is no formal policy on the sharing of expenses, it is reasonable to expected that walkers who are given a lift will offer to contribute towards the cost of fuel. It is suggested that 10p per mile per passenger is an appropriate amount. When accepting a lift, it is important to understand that the final decisions on matters relating to the journey to and from the start point rests with the driver.

Time constraints relating to the return journey must be declared prior to leaving the meeting point.

PLEASE TAKE A CHANGE OF FOOTWEAR TO AVOID CARRYING MUD INTO CARS!

 On occasion we arrange for mini-bus transport (for which we charge) and this is noted in our programme.

We also have several walks which are accessible by public transport and members are encouraged to use public transport where possible
