Mid-summer Solstice Meal at Slanj 9th July 2022

We wanted an excuse to have a social event after a walk and celebration of the mid-summer solstice seemed to offer the best opportunity. Unfortunately, we were a little late as the solstice had occurred two and half weeks earlier than our celebration but nevertheless it was a reasonable excuse.

One of our regular leaders, Peter, kindly offered to both lead a walk and organise a meal after the walk. We decided Slanj, in Tarbet, was the place to go as we always received a warm welcome and excellent service from their staff whenever we called in for a drink on our way back to Helensburgh after a walk.

This visit was no exception and the friendliness, quality of service and food were all excellent. The photographs below show a happy and contented group of walkers.
