Soon after leaving the track to Auchengaich Glen reservoir we entered the cloud
The cloud gradually lifted and when we were reached the summit of Beinn Chaorach it was clear
The sun broke through the clouds as we descended to Auchengaich Glen and we could see the Gare Loch and, in the distance, the Firth of Clyde
Despite the blue sky Beinn a’Mhanaich remained shrouded in cloud
Our return track took us to Auchengaich Glen reservoir
Looking across Auchengaich Glen reservoir to the still cloud covered Beinn a’Mhanaich
Our afternoon break was on a grassy knoll just below Auchengaich Glen reservoir
