We followed a good path alongside the Allt Lairig Eilde as we climbed gently to the highest point on the Lairig Eilde

The path crossed the Allt Lairig Eilde several times before we reached the col between Glen Coe and Glen Etive

The surrounding hills were shrouded by cloud for our entire walk and denied us a view of Ben Starav as we descended towards Glen Etive

This was the most difficult river crossing we encountered but fortunately we all crossed without any problems

We stopped for lunch with this view down Glen Etive to Loch Etive

We returned to Glen Coe via Lairig Gartain and paused briefly at the col before descending to Glen Coe

As we returned to Glen Coe the cloud lifted slightly and we could see Stob nan Cabar, the northern buttress of Buachaille Etive Beag

The final leg of the day’s walk was along the old road through Glen Coe which although gently graded was very boggy in places
