Glen Fruin local walk

Soon after the start of the walk we left the town and entered the Blackhill Plantation
We gained a view of Helensburgh and the Ardmore Peninsula as we climbed towards Drumfad Wood
Looking east, as we reached the crest of the hill, we could see Loch Lomond, the Campsie Fells and the Gargunnock Hills
Looking north north-west we could see Auchengaich Hill and the ridge leading to Beinn Tharsuinn
A pleasant spot by the Fruin Water at Black Bridge for our mid-morning tea break
Nearby (behind the photographer) is the old school house in the garden of which is an early medieval stone cross from St.Brides Chapel
Autumn leaves covering the Old Luss Road above Helensburgh Golf course
Nearing the end of our walk and returning across the golf course to the east end of Helensburgh
